My son, retired Air Force, flew a C130 cargo plane during desert storm. He is a Veteran and entitled to benefits. My dad delivered troops and cargo as a Merchant Marine during World War II. He died without recognition in 1998 and other than a 1988 form letter, was denied the GI bill or other benefits GI's received - even those stationed stateside. I am writing a book based on his letters. The U.S. congress will wait until they are all dead before compensating them. Canada did the admiral thing and compensated their Merchant Seamen. This is a national shame.

Hello,

My name is Julie Davis-Huff. My Granddad was Abraham Rivel Davis he fought as a merchant marine in WWII. My grand dad passed on in 1995. He was very proud of serving with you and for our country. He said clearly "in my life I love My God, My Family and My Country" and I was proud to serve all 3. Unfortunately he never received recognition in life for what he did. Is there a way to get a plaque of some kind to place on his head stone?

I would dearly love to be able to give this to him even posthumously.

Please let me know.

Thanks
